Radial propagation of sound

The main advantage of the voice box is its radial propagation of sound. Normally, speaker systems tend to emit sound primarily in one direction. Thus, people sitting behind such a speaker find themselves in a poor range of audibility. But with the technology developed by DUOPHON the entire range of tonal frequency is propagated uniformly radially. Therefore the voice box is acoustically superior not only to any static telephone device but also to any comparable teleconferencing equipment.

Voice-Box

The speaker system is adjusted to the speech frequency range. This ensures optimal hands-free talking quality. In addition to the ageless design, the driving force behind the development of Duophon were the technical perfection, reliability and a high degree of mechanical quality. Duophon regards ‘Made in Germany’ as a reflection of a value.

The voice box has three sockets for connecting microphones at its bottom, which are invisible from the outside. The centrally placed blue glowing logo on the speaker mesh on top.

Microphone MI 901

The Duophon pressure zone microphone has been developed especially for the telephone frequency range. Since the microphones can be positioned close to the conference participants, the transmission quality is enhanced: the acoustical component is improved compared to the room’s disturbing acoustic. Every microphone is equipped with a mute key that cuts off all other connected microphones as long as it is required. Once the mute key is activated, the blue LEDs on all connected microphones and on the voice box are turned off to indicate the mute status. The speaker remains active so that the participants at the other end can be still heard.

InLine Microphone MI 905 This microphone is integrated in the LAN cable to the Voice Box and substitutes for the other microphones. With the radial reception it is the ideal solution for small tables

Centrally operated control unit with USB interface

In addition to the optimal sound quality, any teleconferencing equipment should ensure transmission of sound in both directions simultaneously. By means of the electronic acoustical balance „full duplex“ is realized in the headset interface, a well.

This automatically prevents the commonly occurring feedback whistling. A noise filter ensures echo attenuation and minimizes disturbing background noise.

 

 

 

In addition to the sockets for connecting the telephone device and two voice box units, the control unit includes a USB interface for conversation recording and a volume control for the voice box.

With the variation AW 901 H can be switched between handset and conference.
